1. Introduction

Dhruvaatma Systems Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates AIBE Prep (“the Platform”), an online examination preparation service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform. By using AIBE Prep, you agree to the terms of this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a one-way hash). Google OAuth users share their Google profile name, email, and profile photo.

Usage Data: Pages visited, content read, MCQs attempted, mock test scores, bookmarks, study time, and learning progress within the Platform.

Payment Information: We do not store card numbers or banking details. All payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We store payment IDs, subscription dates, and plan tier for subscription management.

Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device type, and cookies (session management only). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide, operate, and improve the Platform and its features
To personalise your learning experience and track your progress
To process payments and manage your subscription
To send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription receipts, expiry reminders)
To send optional study reminders and exam alerts (only if opted in)
To respond to your support requests and enquiries
To comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:

Razorpay – payment processing (governed by their own privacy policy)
Supabase / Neon – database hosting for data storage
Vercel – application hosting and CDN
Law enforcement or regulatory authorities, if required by law

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., GST invoice records for 7 years).

6. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian law (IT Act 2000 and amendments), you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of marketing communications
Export your study data (contact us to request)

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management (authentication) and user preferences (language, theme). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies from third parties. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling session cookies will prevent you from logging in.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, JWT tokens with short expiry, and access controls. No system is 100% secure; in the event of a data breach we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for law graduates (18+ years). We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 18. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
