Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about AIBE and our platform.

What is AIBE and who needs to appear?
The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a mandatory qualifying exam conducted by the Bar Council of India for all law graduates who wish to practice as advocates. This includes graduates of 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated law programs. Final-year law students are now also eligible.
How often is AIBE conducted?
AIBE is conducted twice a year — typically in November and June. This biannual schedule means candidates who don't clear it can attempt again within 6 months. The next AIBE is scheduled for June 2026.
What are the new criminal codes — BNS, BNSS, and BSA?
BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), BNSS (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita), and BSA (Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam) are new Indian criminal codes that replaced the IPC, CrPC, and Indian Evidence Act respectively from July 1, 2024. AIBE now tests candidates on these new codes — our platform provides comprehensive coverage with old vs. new comparisons.
Is AIBE an open-book exam?
Yes! AIBE is an open-book exam — candidates are allowed to carry bare act books (without notes). However, time management is critical. Our Bare Act Reference Mode specifically trains you for open-book conditions, helping you quickly locate sections within the 3.5-hour window.
What is the passing score for AIBE?
Candidates need to score at least 45% (45/100) for General category and 40% (40/100) for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The national pass rate has been around 69% recently — our platform aims to significantly exceed this benchmark for our users.
What does the Pass Guarantee in Premium plan mean?
If you are on the Premium plan, complete 80% or more of the platform content, and still fail the AIBE, we will extend your subscription for free for the next exam cycle. We're confident in our preparation quality.
